James C.P. Chen, VP and GM of the Solar Business of AU Optronics, which sells the Solar products in the name BenQ said that, his company is creating a strategic action plan to enter the Indian Solar Market. Chen said during the inaugral address at Solarcon 2012; a major conference and expo in Bangalore.
Currently the Solar modules branded under the name BenQ are manufactured by AU Optronics and Sunpower, with module energy conversion efficiency of nearly 20%.
Chen also said that BenQ is looking for partners in India and they would like collaborate with partners in areas like technology development,manufacturing and project development.
