TCS Planning India's Largest Rooftop Solar PV Project

The Indian Software Giant  +Tata Consultancy Services has announced its Solar Plans today, and as an initial involvement they are planning to install 850KW Roof Top Solar Project on it's new Software Campus in Rajarhat near Kolkata.

TCS is planning to invest Rs 1,350 crore in the new Rajarhat campus, which is spread over 40 acres of land. Also it will have a seating capacity of 16,500 people. TCS Rajarhat campus will be built in phases and the first is expected to have a seating capacity of 7,000 people and will be completed by first Quarter of 2014 and the second phase will be completed within the forth quarter of 2014 and will have a seating capacity of 9,500 people.

Totally Green Campus

- TCS will deploy what is expected to be India's Largest Roof Top Solar Project. This will be a 850KW Solar PV Plant. 
- Waste discharge facility with bio digester, which will create cooking gas.
- Building design will also incorporate Rain Water Harvesting.
- 3,500 Plantation. 
- Planning Highest Possible LEED Certification for the Project
