- She announced the new policy, which will see the state tap 3000 MW of power in the next three years through solar energy alone. The policy hopes to generate 1000 MW each year till 2015. 
- Support given for Generation for Wind Generation in the state and for drafting plans for the Creation of solar energy parks, encouragement to people to install solar panels at home and gradual installation of solar panels in government and local body building.





Narendra Modi
Chief Minister of Gujarat

 

Significant Achievements:


- For transforming Gujarat into India's leading Renewable Energy Power Generator.
- Gujarat has currently the highest installed Solar Capacity with over 700 MW installed.
- Also Gujarat is transforming into a major solar hub, with a projected yield of 1000 MW by 2013.



 
Oommen Chandy
Chief Minister of Kerala

Significant Achievements:


- Supporting Kerala's 10,000 Solar Rooftop Project Scheme.
- Plans of Conversion of Government Offices and other assets eco-friendly, by improving waste management initiatives and installation of Solar systems.
