The Meeting of the Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of the New & Renwable Energy held on 20th February, 2013 under the Chairmanship of Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Minister for New and Renewable Energy.
Detailed discussions were held on the issues such as progress of Hindi, Training Schemes, Incentive Schemes, Organisation of workshops etc. in the Ministry and its subordinate offices eg., Centre for Wind Energy Technology, Chennai, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA), New Delhi, Solar Energy Centre, Gurgaon and Sardar Swarn Singh National Institute of Renewable Energy, Kapurthala.
The main objective of the Ministry is to promote the installation and development of various renewable energy sources in the country. Though the work of the Ministry is of scientific and technical nature, Hindi is being used extensively at all levels in the Ministry.
The members appreciated the efforts being made by the Ministry towards implementation of the Official Language Policy and expressed their satisfaction in this regard.

B.S.Shantabai, Secretary, Karnataka Mahila Hindi Seva Samiti, Sh. Pankaj Diwan, General-Secretary, Kendriya Sachivalaya Hindi Parishad, Dr. Yogesh Dube, Sh. Shiv Kumar Dikshit, Sh. Sanjay Gehlot, Sh. Brijlal Rakheja and Prof. Satish Raina attended the meeting.
