Bhangra Time for Solar Projects in Punjab

Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA)the state nodal agency for promotion and development of Renewable Energy Projects in the State of Punjab invites offers from the interested project developers to participate in the selection process for setting up of 300 MW of Solar PV Power Projects in the State. 

This RFP is a part of Punjab's New and Renewable Sources of Energy (NRSE) Policy –2012, which was launched in December Last Year and this policy aim development of 1,000 MW in the state.  All the Grid Connected Solar PV Power Projects under Phase – I shall be installed in the State of Punjab only.  

The total capacity shall be divided into two categories as under: 

i) Category – I: Total 50 MW to be allotted for newly incorporated / existing companies. The minimum capacity of the project shall be 1 MW and the maximum capacity shall be 4 MW. The allotment of project capacities under this category shall be in multiples of 1 MW only. 

ii) Category – II: Total 250 MW to be allotted to Existing Companies. The minimum capacity of the project shall be 5 MW and maximum capacity shall be 30 MW. The allotment of project capacities under this category shall be multiples of 5 MW only. 

The Bidder is free to choose either Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell Modules or Thin Film Modules or Concentrated PV Modules or any other technology which can be sourced from any country.  

The Applicable Tarriff Rate is set as Rs. 8.75/kWh without availing the benefit of Accelerated Depreciation and   Rs. 7.87/kWh if availed Accelerated Depreciation.
