Solar Companies in India are entering the main stream and even, one of the largest sporting leagues in the world, the Pepsi Indian Premier League (link) is all set to recieve it's first Solar PV Manufacturer Advertiser, NVD Solar. According to IndianTelevision.com, NVD Solar has signed three year Agreement as Kings XI Punjab's (link) Title Sponsor. NVD will replace direct-to-home (DTH) operator Videocon d2h.
The Punjab outfit has bagged a total of 14 brands this season, which includes major brands like Kingfisher, Lux Cozi, ACC Cements, Arise Inverters, USL and Raindrops Basmati among others.
KXIP COO Col. Arvinder Singh explained that NVD Solar (link) came on-board as title partner as the company to aid it's expansion plans in North India. “They will launch products using the franchises players as a platform. On the other hand, Lux Cozi does activation with their wholesale and retail people. They run gratification contests where people can see matches,” Singh said.
NVD Solar managing director Saibal Hazra said "KXI is one of the most dynamic IPL teams. We wish them all the luck for the upcoming tournament and hope this association can reap benefits for both the parties.”
