Central Institute of Fisheries Technology to receive its first solar boat

Navgathi Marine, pioneer in Indian Solar boat Industry had signed the contract with Fishing technology division of CIFT. CIFT is a national center in the country where research in all disciplines relating to fishing and fish processing are undertaken. These four passenger solar boat will be used in reservoirs for gill netting.
Navgathi, an internationally listed Solar boat manufacturer have developed Solar Ferries and solar cruise boats. The different range of solar cruise boats from Navgathi portfolio are SunCRZ 9, Sun CRZ 22 and SunCRZ 30 of passenger capacity 4,10 & 20 respectively. Solar ferry ranges between 40 and 75 passenger capacity
"This boat will be driven from solar powered battery with manual steering. This boat is designed according to the Kerala IV rules. An electric propulsion system will make the boat whisper silent We are expecting more orders from CIFT and similar government organizations" said Alby Joy, Project manager from Navgathi
Recently Navgathi introduced solar fishing boat in Gujarat, which was a crowd puller and received accolades from the media and visitors alike from all part of the world. Navgathi have signed an MOU with Gujarat government for conversion of conventional fishing boats into solar powered boats
