Infosys a global leader in consulting,outsourcing,technology,next generation services announced the launch of the 6.6 MW solar pv plant at their pocharam campus,Hyderabad with this launch the total capacity increased to 7.2 MW including the existing 0.6 MW,it is one of the first corporate campuses which runs fully on renewable energy.The plant is expected to generate 12 million KWh per annum. This intiative is expected to reduce the company's carbon emissions by 9200 tons.
Currently infosys has around 12 MW in installed capacity in various plants across its campuses and another 3MW is expected to be completed within the next two months
