Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) and the Vote Solar Initiative has released it's new report which ranks the top corporate companies in US using solar energy for their on-site consumption.
Retail power house Walmart ranks number one in a list
The Report analyzed about 42 companies in the US using solar energy. According to the report all these corporations have deployed a total of 321MW of Solar PV at 750 locations in 26 states and Puerto Rico.
The list of the top 20 US companies with the highest installed PV capacity.

3. Kohl’s Department Stores
4. IKEA
5. Macy’s
6. McGraw-Hill
7. Johnson & Johnson
8. Staples, Inc.
9. Campbell’s Soup
10. Walgreens
11. Bed, Bath & Beyond
12. Toys ‘R’ Us
13. General Motors
14. FedEx
15. White Rose Foods
16. Dow Jones
17. Snyder’s of Hanover
18. ProLogis
19. Hartz Mountain Industries
20. Crayola.
Walmart ranks number one both in terms of installed capacity and Number of PV systems with about 65MW and 144 systems. Nearest rival Costco has installed abput 38.9MWand Kohl’s has 36.5MW.
The report also highlights the top 20 companies has installed enough solar modules to power 46,500 households and helps to generate an estimated US$47.3 million worth of electricity every year.
