solar panels composed of a number of solar cells containing a
photovoltaic material.
Solar photovoltaics is growing rapidly, albeit from a small base, to a
total global capacity of 40,000 MW at the end of 2010. More than 100
countries use solar PV Installations.
This is the most common type used of Solar Power development. This type of power generation is commonly used in many residential, commercial and utility scale applications.

developed from solar cells is DC. So first the output generated from
Solar panels are given to a solar inverter which converts DC to AC.
Then we are ready to go... We can connect any appliances in our homes
usin this energy...
Grid Tied PV systems
Solar is catching up fast everywhere Why????? Awnser is "SMART METERS"...
As
the Image above shows, We can Give the energy developed in our homes
directly to the electric grid. Smart meters measure the amount of
electricity send back to the grid...
Wow.. Now we can charge the Electric Utilities for using our energy....
