The Most awaited ANERT 10,000 roof top solar home project in kerala  launched the application procedures from September 1st 2012.

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum 15 square meter shade free area for installing 1 kWp Solar panel array.
• Suitable space for accommodating battery and inverter is required near to the module structure. (i.e. about 2 m2 covered, ventilated area with restricted access)
  The system will be in the off-grid mode with some battery backup. 
• The electricity generated (approximately 4 units per 1 kWp system per day) is to be used for internal consumption (that is, not for export to grid).
• The expected life span of the system (except battery) is around 25 years with proper maintenance.
• The Government/ ANERT reserves the right to modify any of the terms and conditions given in this circular.

System cost and Subsidy/ Financial incentive available:

•  Approximate cost of the system is about 2 lakh .
•  Central financial assistance available is Rs.53262/- per system or 30% of the cost( For systems with cost lower than the Bench mark cost fixed by ANERT Subsidy will be limited to 30% of Total cost)
•  State financial assistance of Rs.39,000/- per system is available in addition to the Central financial assistance
