Vimilagiri public school installs kerala's biggest solar plant

To stabilize the future power consumption, one of kerala's major schools, vimalagiri public school, Muvattupuzha has installed states largest solar installation.

- Project value : 1crores rupees (~$0.2 million)
- Number of Modules : 159
- Contractor : EMVEE Photovoltaic

Rottenburg-Stuttgart Bishop will inaugrate the system on August 5th. Indian deputy power minister KC venugopal will also be present at the occation.

School management believes that this system will support the full load requirements of the school and is talking to Kseb, keralas only distribution utility to  Sell its extra power to the grid.

School managemet is also planning to supply power to  the nearby St Josephs Cathedral, which is currently under construction.

Indian goverment's solar subsidy was also recieved for this project.
