Gamesa, one of the largest wind turbine manufacturers in the world announced that, they recieved certificates from China (China Electricity Power Research Institute -CEPRI) for their 2MW series - G80, G87, G90, G97 and G87 CS wind Turbines.

Gamesa and other Manufacturers are trying hard to set a firm foot in the Asia Paciffic region, which is the fastest growing region in the world with CAGR of 11.3% per year. And the region is expected to outpace Europe by 2013.

At the end of 2015, Asia Pacific is expected to install 183 GW followed by Europe at 144 GW and Americas at 105 GW. This high growth in Asia Pacific is all thanks to China with a CAGR of 15.4% followed by India.

Gamesa's larger MW series G128-4,5 MW is scheduled to receive the certificate in the coming two months. Currently engineers from Gamesa are conducting a series of tests of LVRT in Alaiz, Spain.

Earlier this year, Gamesa G58-850 kW was tested in Liaoning province by Northeast Electricity Power Research Institute which waas overlooked by CEPRI and it recieved the certificate. Gamesa's engineers are also conducting testing on G52-850 kW and they are hoping to recieve the certifications.
