Panama is all set join the Solar club by installing country's first Utility Solar project.
The project will be located at province of Herrera in the Sarigua National Park in Panama. The Italian power giant will contribute $9 Million towards the project. The Project is expected to be operational by second half of 2013. Panaman president Ricardo Martinelli said that the previous government's only looked into fossil and Hydro for power generation. He believes that the project will provide a kickstart to the Solar Industry and Installation in the Country.
Also Ricardo Martinelli stated that the government must need to change the current system of power matrix and he added that new policies must also be included for the growth of Renewable power.
