Gamesa has recieved a wind turbine supply contract worth 74.65MW from ReNew wind Power Pvt. Ltd.
Gamesa will supply 50 MW of G97 2 MW turbine and 24.65 MW of G58 850KW turbines. These turbines will be erected in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Gamesa is expected to provide EPC activities and also Operations and Maintenance of the project.
The project developer ReNew wind is a startup Wind developer in India and is also backed by the financial power house Goldman Sachs, which invested nearly $181 Million dollars in the firm. Also in May this year ReNew wind Power had commissioned its first wind power project of 25.2 megawatts near Rajkot in Gujrat. The company was founded by Sumant Sinha who was a former CEO of Suzlon Energy.
ReNew wind Power has future plans to install 1000MW in Maharashtra and Gujrat.
