GM has broken ground on a Solar PV Tree tracking and EV charging system at it's Milford Proving Ground in Michigan, USA.
Envision Solar, a leading Solar Racking system manufacturer designed and constructed the system. This system utilizes Envision Solar's EnvisionTrak solar tracking system. Envision Solar says that the project is capable of producing 30,000 kWh a year and provide enough power for charging 6EV's per day.
This is GM's second Tracking Solar Tree installation in their michigan base. Recently VW also came into the news by installing the largest Solar module installation in Tennessee.
