GTM and SEIA has released the latest Q2 US Solar market insight report showing that 742MW of Solar PV has been installed in US, which was up from 512MW from Q1'12.
Utility Solar Market Key Findings:
-Key Solar states-Arizona and California installed 20 Utility scale solar projects
- Utility Solar projects accounted for nearly 65% of the total 742MW installed.
- California retained its top position by installing 217MW, followed by Arizona with 173MW.
Residential Solar Market Key Findings:
- Companies like SolarCity, Sungevity and SunRun, which followed third party ownership models like leasing and PPA expanded their footprints agrresively.
- Residential Solar segment saw a total of 98.2MW being Installed.
Commercial segment saw an installation of 196.3MW. Analyst's at GTM predict that Solar projects in US can be expected to hit 3200MW in 2012.
