Iderdrola has Selected AREVA, a major Manufacturer of Offshore Wind Farms in Europe for Providing 120+ M5000 Turbines for it's flagship Offshore - Wikinger wind farm.

AREVA, according to the contract agreements will supply 120, M5000 5 MW turbines. Wikinger wind farm is a 400MW offshore Wind farm to be developed 35 kilometers off the German Baltic Sea coast. The Wikinger wind farm is currently under planning and Engineering phase and is expected to Produce green Energy by 2017.

Both companies are expected to conduct negotiations to finalize the commercial and technical aspects of the supply contract. This Deal will cement AREVA's Position in Offshore Wind Turbine Market Share Race, Also Last year, Iberdrola-Eole-RES partnership had selected AREVA Turbines and Products for the 500 MW project in the area of Saint-Brieuc, off the
coast of Brittany, as part of the first French offshore wind tender.
