Noida, which is the hub of Formula 1, IT firms and Industries will soon host a 1 MW Solar Project. Navin Okhla Industrial Development Authority finalized the plans to set up a 1 MW Solar Project in the land owned by Uttar Pradesh irrigation department, along the banks of Yamuna and Noida drain.
More Plants set to come:
CEO of Noida Mr. Sanjeev Saran said, "though this the first Project in the area, more are slated to come".
In UP over hundred telecom towers are currently equipped with
solar energy panels. Several 100 Traffic Signals stations are also powered by Solar Power in Noida Alone. Uttar Pradesh currently has a total Solar installed capacity of just 14.38MW, as per MNRE December data. The Major Solar Developers in the state include EMC Ltd. (link), Technical Associates Limited (link), Dhruv Mikhose and Dante Energy Private Limited.
