Japanese Newspaper Nikkei has reported that Mizuho Financial Group Inc., (link) a Major Financial and banking services provider is planning to develop a 200MW Solar Project in Gujarat.
Mizuho and a group of unnamed companies will implement this Project with a initial investment of $325 million. Also According to Bloomberg, the Government of Gujarat had signed a MoU with the company to develop Solar Projects in the State.
Also according to Japanese Newspaper Nikkei, Kyocera Solar (link) is expected to provide the Solar Modules for the Project. Also the Company is expected to increase the installed capacity of the Solar Project to 2,200 MW.
India has all of sudden fallen into the Lime Light, as the Country has outlined serious Solar plans, through which, the country aims to install around 10 GW utility scale
solar projects and 1 GW off-grid solar power projects by it's end (link).
