Orix Corporation planning 54 Billion Yen Utility and Distributed Solar Projects in Japan

Japan has recently been the center of attraction for renewable projects due to the defficiency of power due to the closure of Nuclear plants all thanks to fukushima nuclear disastor.

Recent News which cements this growth is that of Orix Corporation, a Japanese financial giant's plans to spend $680 million or $54 billion Yen on solar projects. About 200 MW of Solar projects are being planned in the coming years.

Of the 200MW, 100MW will be distributed Solar Power, which will be mostly commercial scale rooftop solar projects. Orix is planning to lease rooftop spaces from industrial companies throught Japan.

And the remaining 100MW will be built as utility scale solar projects.

Recently Japanese industrial minister Yukio Edano released the new Japanese FIT rates which amounts to abot 42 yen per KWhr for 20 years.
