REpower hits the largest Wind Order in it's history

REpower, the Suzlon subsidiary has bagged a 350MW Wind Turbine Supply Contract from  EDF Energies Nouvelles's Canadian subsidiary EDF EN Canada Inc. This order is the largest in REpower's history.

REpower (link) will supply the turbines for EDF's Rivière-du-Moulin wind farm located in Quebec, Canada. As a part of the deal REpower will supply 175 MM82 and MM92, which are their 2MW Series. This contract is a part of the framework agreement of up to 954 MW signed between EDF EN and REpower in 2009.

The Project which is located in unorganised territories of Lac Pikauba and of Lac-Ministuk, will be built in two phases. In the first phase EDF plans to commission 150MW by December 2014 and in the second phase they plan to commission 200MW by December 2015.

Also speaking at the Deal, Andreas Nauen, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of REpower Systems SE, said “This contract is a milestone for REpower as it is our biggest to date. We are looking forward to continuing our successful collaboration with EDF EN and we appreciate the trust they have in REpower and our technology.
