Abengoa's CSP Plants

Abengoa (link), a leading Concentrated Solar Project Developer based in Seville, Spain has commissioned it's 100MW Castilla-La Mancha Solar Project in it's home Country. 

The Project is located at Ciudad Real municipalities of Arenas de San Juan, Villarta de San Juan and Puerto Lapice. The Project during it's peak construction phase it employed around 1,650 people and has also created opportunities for 90 permanent operation and maintenance staffs. 

The Castilla-La Mancha Solar Project is constructed as two sectors, each involving the use of 50 MW parabolic trough plants.The Project also brings significant advantages for the Environment as Castilla-La Mancha Solar Project will prevent 63,000 tons of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere each year. 

Abengoa's (link) all key officials and major Spanish Political leaders were present during the inauguration.

Abengoa (link) which uses both the parabolic trough and solar tower technologies is a major Full service Provider and Developer of Concentarted Solar Projects across the Major Solar destinations and Abengoa operates 743 MW of CSP Plants and 910 MW of CSP plants are in various phases of Development, including the 280-MW Solana CSP plant located in Arizona, USA.

Also they are constructing and operating solar-gas hybrid plants, conventional generation plants, biofuels plants and water infrastructures, as well as large-scale desalination plants and transmission lines across 80 Countries.
