Raasi Green Earth Energy Private Ltd has said that Canadian Solar will supply Modules for it's 100MW Solar Park Project. They also added that the company would complete the Solar Park by May this year, after completion of Land Acquisition by end of this month. Raasi Green Earth Energy had signed a MoU with Tamil Nadu Industrial
Development Corporation on December 2012 (link) to develop a 100MW Solar park in Paramakudi.
According to Mr.
C.Narasimhan, Chairman of Raasi, the company had completed the acquisition of 200 acres of the total 800 acres required by the Project. The remaining 600 acres will be acquired by the end of this
month and park will be ready within the next three months.
Also According to Hindu, Raasi has tied up with Larsen and Tubro,
CanadianSolar, Enerpark and Sgurr to develop the park.
The Park will also have a “semi
plug and play facility” for the investors, who wished to set up their
power plants in the park. The park would also have facilities for power
evacuation besides common infrastructure support, he said. Mr. Narasimhan also said that Raasi would invest a total of 200 crore in the Project, of which Rs 120 crore would be used to set up the Park and Rs 80 crore will be invested in a 10MW unit within the Park.
The Companies which would like to invest in the Park, must set up at least a 5MW Solar PV Project, which will involve a investment of Rs 40 crore.
A
fully monitoring Solar Radiation Resource Assessment Station would also be set up in the park with the support from MNRE. The station with satellite
link facilities would measure solar radiation inside the park and
disseminate the details to all developers in the park. The developers,
who set up power plants, could make use of the facility free of cost. A Solar Energy Technical Center and
Training Center will also come up in the Park.
