The Major Cable Manufacturer in India, Finolex Cables has announced it's Plan to venture into the Solar Market.
As the part of the Plan, Finolex will set up a 5MW Solar PV Facility in it's own factory premises in at Urse near Pune. According to Business Standard, the Project is expected to cost nearly 40 crore. The Project will be executed in within a 6 month time frame. The Power generated through the Power Project will be utilized within the factory and will be pooled with the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co. Ltd's power supply for night operations.
This will act as a Pilot Project for future ventures
According to Deepak Chhabria, Managing Director of Finolex "With this in-house experience we can go ahead and set up larger projects in future,"
